Configuring Entourage to connect to Exchange

This document is intended to set up a new connection to the UAS exchange server. This will include calendaring and contact synchronization.

1) Open Entourage from the Applications folder or from your dock

2) Click on the Entourage menu, choose Account Settings…

3) Click New

4) Choose Exchange from the account type drop-down menu, click OK

5) Fill out the various fields as follows:

· Account Name: UAS Exchange

· Name: Firstname Lastname

· E-mail address: username@uas.alaska.edu

· Account ID: Your UA Username (for example: cjbennett)

· Domain: ua

· Password: ********

· Exchange server: mailgw.uas.alaska.edu/exchange/username@uas.alaska.edu

o replace “username” with your UA Username from the above step

· Check This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)

6) Click on the Advanced tab, fill out the various fields as follows:

· Public folders server: mailgw.uas.alaska.edu/public

· Check This DAV service requires a secure connection (SSL)

· LDAP server: mailgw.uas.alaska.edu

· Check This server requires me to log on

· Check This LDAP server requires a secure connection (SSL)

· Click OK

7) Enter your password to authenticate again to the Exchange server, click OK

8) Your Exchange account should now be listed within the accounts panel.

9) Close this window to return to Entourage and then choose the UAS Exchange listing from the top of the left-hand panel. Use the arrow next to the UAS Exchange listing to extend the Exchange mailbox list for viewing.

10) Any changes to your exchange calendar will also be available via the webmail interface at http://mail.uas.alaska.edu/
