I am broadly interested in the dynamics of tidewater glaciers and glacier-ocean interactions. Specifically, this includes studying iceberg calving, iceberg and ice mélange dynamics, submarine melting, fjord circulation, and glacier flow. My research utilizes a variety of field data (e.g., seismic and GPS data and time-lapse photography), theoretical analyses and numerical models, and laboratory experiments. The projects that I work on tend to be highly interdisciplinary, and as a result I have had the opportunity to work closely with seismologists, oceanographers, and condensed matter physicists.
