I am a glaciologist that studies dynamic feedbacks between the polar oceans and marine terminating outlet glaciers, including both (1) the impact that ocean temperatures have on iceberg calving, and therefore glacier terminus stability, and (2) the processes through which calving icebergs can influence coastal ocean dynamics. My research utilizes a combination of field data, especially seismic data and timelapse imagery, "simple" theoretical analyses and numerical models, and laboratory experiments.
