Well the fishing started to get good. The best part was showing up to a couple of gear fishers getting skunked and catching a nice dolly on the third cast. Fly fishing works a lot better some times. Also dollies fight like shit, compared to cutts and rainbows anyway, better than grayling though, but then grayling take dries. If only these fish got a little bigger... At any rate I’ll be steelhead fishing soon on the most famous steelhead stream in Alaska, I don’t quite get its allure a million people lining fish with bobbers and no fly line some even doing the Russian River twitch to catch fish. I figure I’ll swing a fly let the fish find the fly you know, classic style, who knows how long that will last until I break down and start nymphing. I did tie some steelhead nymphs, jumbo johns they are called they sure look fishy. Its starting to feel like summer, we are firing a wood kiln this weekend should be fun but I’m gonna be tired. I assume it will snow next week probably on May day. I need some money anybody wanna buy something? New photos in the fish gallery...
